Curb Appeal Curb appeal is your only chance to make a strong first impression on buyers before they walk into your home. The good and bad features that jump out at buyers create their initial thoughts about your house and how you perform home's regular maintenance.
Acknowledging this helps us to choose what we can do to attract buyers from the street and into your house. If your home's exterior isn't as neat as possible with touched up paint and blooming greenery we'll need to address those as well. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and add dollars to your home's final selling price.

"Welcome to your new home!"
Can buyers envision themselves enjoying game night in your living space, unwinding in your reading nook or getting work done in your home office? We want your Open House to pleasantly accept buyers and offer them a sense of comfort. We'll help you accomplish this by suggesting small improvements that enhance the features of your house.
We'll help you put out of sight things that give the appearance of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be cleared off. Brick-a-brack, sentimental items, family photos, and kids' works of art should get stored away too. You need to "generalize" the house so buyers can perceive it as their new home.
We'll review every room of your home. We'll point out the pieces of furniture that should be rearranged, rooms that need a fresh coat of paint, carpet needing to be changed, fixtures that could use brightening, and any other improvement that can inexpensively be made to positively impact the sale.
We'll make sure that your home is neutral and that it's inviting, staying away from "offensive" or "can't-work-with" colors on the walls and furniture. And if none of your belongings are there, you can consider borrowing furnishings. You want your house to look inviting as opposed to bare and uninhabited.

Setting the Stage
In every opportunity, we want to capture buyers' attention.
Dark rooms can really dampen a buyer's spirits, so we'll do things like part the curtains and create light where needed to invite the buyer inside. Together we'll enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music to listen to while guests look at your home and assure a nice fragrance flows room-to-room. We'll add cozy-looking blankets, and place pillows on your couch and bed. We want buyers to feel like your home has the potential to be. |
